Η κόρη της Σοφίας ντε Μαρμπουά Λεμπρέν, Ελίζα, πεθαίνει στην Βηρυτό. Με την επιστροφή τους στην Αθήνα, η Σοφία διατηρεί την Ελίζα σε φέρετρο μέσα σε οινόπνευμα, στο ξύλινο σπίτι τους στην οδό Πειραιώς.
Το ξύλινο σπίτι τους αποτεφρώνεται και μαζί του η Ελίζα πεθαίνει για δεύτερη φορά. Η Σοφία και η Ελίζα, φοβούνται πλέον την φθαρτότητα και την εφήμερη διάρκεια του ξύλου και αποφασίζουν να κτίσουν με τον Κλεάνθη την στιβαρή και μαρμάρινη Villa Ilissia.
Η Σοφία και η Ελίζα ενωμένες όσο ποτέ, δημιουργούν κάτι ακόμη πιο ωραίο και κτίζουν μαζί με τον Κλεάνθη και τον Γεωργαντά, μέγαρο, πύργους, γέφυρα και δρόμους, στην αγαπημένη τους Πεντέλη. Η Σοφία και η Ελίζα, ο πόνος και χαρά, το ωραίο και το αποκρουστικό, η κρυφή αβάσταχτη καθημερινότητα και η δίψα για κάθε τι πρωτοποριακό, συμβίωσαν όπως πάντα συμβιώνουν.

The daughter of Sophie de Marbois-Lebrun, Eliza dies in Beirut. Upon their return to Athens, Sophie preserves Eliza in a coffin within alcohol in their wooden house on Piraeus Street.
Their wooden house is incinerated and along with it Eliza dies for a second time. Sophie and Eliza now scared of corruptibility and the evanescent duration of wood
decide to build with Kleanthis the robust and marble Villa Ilissia.
Sophie and Eliza united as ever, create something even more beautiful and build together with Kleanthis and Georgantas a mansion, towers, a bridge and roads on their beloved Penteli.
Sophie and Eliza, anguish and joy, the beautiful and the repulsive, the secret unbearable everydayness and the thirst for anything avant-garde co-existed as they have always co-existed.
